What is your definition of ‘Good’ wemic make-up and costume? What is your best practical solution, and what is your dream solution? Include variations for nation.
What sort of thing do you not want to see? What do you consider to be the best costume/make-up tricks? for any of the Wemic races? What is the wildest variation you can develop whilst still being 'wemic'.
Provide photos if you can.
(PS:Wemics: Minimum Phys-rep: Full face cat make-up.
Furred humanoids with the facial features of a cat, although they have a wide disparity of markings on their fur. Your character may be a wemic if your culture is Lyzanium, Amun-Sa, Free Islands or Tritoni.)

It all really depends on if you fix the paints, how much you sweat (although grease paints fixed well would endure this) and how messy you are when you eat!
Thats me btw XD

Or 'Vincent' from Beauty and the Beast 80's TV series who is now appearing as Hell Boy, it does help that Ron Perlman is a very fine character actor.

I don't think prothetics or ears are required, PD certainly doesn't stipulate them, and from my experience they either look really good, or really bad. I'd say it is a case by case scenario, and I personally won't be wearing a prosthetic. (It'd cover up my sneering, and we can't have that!)
Ears on a headband/kittie ears, in my personal oppinion, look rubbish. I hate them with a passion, and they immediately make me think of cat-girls or children dressing up. They just do nothing for me, in fact they jarr and bother me. Same with drawn-on wiskars, I don't like those either.
For me, the important parts are the nose, the mouth area, and no goddamn monkey-neck. All areas of visible skin should be make-up'd appropriately, no hairless wemics!
If we're talking wildest variation, then we should really talk about the most basic, simple make-up that says "wemic". For me, it's the nose, the mouth, and the line down the middle from nose to mouth that say "wemic", if you've got those, you've got wemic. Any make-up job on top of that will still look wemicy enough in my eyes, as long as it's not just bare skin.

(this is one of those threads people keep coming back to)
Nice. How does that work with the hair, or do you need a balaclava or wig?May 14 2008, 21:47:47 UTC 4 years ago
Re: (this is one of those threads people keep coming back to)
I've "field" tested them as such and they are good in photoshoots but are so light that they flop over in the wind (as hair isn't really that attatched to your head, only at the roots). You should see me next event with them strongly attatched to a close cropped wig. Oh my goodness, so much to do!
